Signal Spam is a public-private partnership that allows Internet users to report anything they consider to be spam in their email in order to then assign it to the public authority or professional who can best take the necessary action to combat the reported spam.

This extension allows you to report an unsolicited email from compatible webmails (Gmail, Outlook.com, Live.com, Yahoo! Mail, SFR, Orange, Free, OVH, LaPoste.net, AOL).
You can also report fraudulent sites (Phishing).
The extension can also alert you if you open an email containing links to a fraudulent site (Phishing), or if you visit a fraudulent site in Safari.

Spam reporting collects all the technical information necessary to identify a spammer, either because the report concerns a marketing abuse or because it concerns cyber-criminal spam. Signal Spam is in charge of qualifying your report and redistributing information useful in the fight against spam.

To whom are spam messages sent?
The objective of Signal Spam is to centralize spam reports in order to analyze them and help those, public authorities as well as private actors, who are fighting against this scourge.
Reports made to Signal Spam are first analysed in order to improve knowledge of the phenomenon, in particular the evolution of spammers techniques.

Alerts are also used to enhance the security of the Internet network.
In this context, the alerts are transmitted, after anonymising the reporting user, to technical partners who act to strengthen network security, for example by combating the phenomenon of "zombie computers" or "phishing".
Signal Spam partners undertake in this context to use these reports for the benefit of this technical fight against spam, in accordance with the legal provisions in force.
Finally, Signal Spam also undertakes to forward the alerts, after having anonymised the reporting user, to the competent public authorities who may request it. Through this, Signal Spam actively participates in the authorities fight against the perpetrators of spam.
